Do you care that we can live, work, and do business more fairly and sustainably together? And do you want to learn how to set people around you in motion? Then read on about the minor ACT; Act for Change Together.

You fit with us if:

- You are open to exploring other perspectives with students from other disciplines.

- You dare to ask yourself what touches you.

- Dare to search and investigate and do not avoid uncertainty.

- Love freedom and equality between students and teachers. Present on school for 2.5 days.

- Want to learn from students from other sectors such as health and welfare, economics, engineering and construction, IT, environmental and agricultural, media and communication, culture, arts, economics, tourism, and logistics. All fields of study are welcome, Dutch- and English-speaking, the more diverse the better.

- You hold a propaedeutic diploma.

What are you going to do?

In the minor Act for Change Together, we will explore from your involvement where and how you play a role in our economic system and can contribute by moving yourself and stakeholders.

We will do this by:

- Guiding you to choose and start your project for which you are intrinsically motivated and for which there is plenty of room for creativity. There is NO client.

- Collaborate and learn from other perspectives because students from many sectors participate in the minor ACT.

- Knowledge about "wicked problems" and the meaning of economics because we are directly affiliated with researchers in this field.

- Making you understand how to use your personal leadership to achieve your goals.

- Teach you how to find stakeholders, involve them, and develop your project together.

Where?

The minor Act for Change Together is part of De Tussenruimte.

De Tussenruimte is an exploratory maker space where we explore where and how you play a role in our economic system and can contribute by moving yourself and stakeholders. In De Tussenruimte students, researchers, teachers, and socially engaged organizations (commercial and non-commercial) come together. De Tussenruimte has shaped this for students in the elective module/minor ACT (Act for Change Together).

Leerdoelen

Learning Outcomes:

LU1: Starting from Involvement.

You orient yourself on the theme of Broad Prosperity and New Entrepreneurship and together form a conceptual model based on knowledge and experiences gained in a variety of ways. You present yourself both as a person and from your discipline. You make your learning process transparent and thereby connect yourself substantively and relationally with others from the community (form groups or collaborations). Based on the conceptual model and your personal motivation, you name your own challenge for this module.

LU2: Activating the community

You perform an environmental and stakeholder analysis. You take action and go 'into the neighborhood' and talk to people who might play a role in your challenge. You create experiences and get inspired and deepen your research in response to new questions and insights. You make your learning process transparent and sharpen your challenge. You actively approach stakeholders to form a coalition of willing participants from the community, organizations, and/or citizens who support your challenge and want to commit to a common ambition.

LU3: Cocreation

With the coalition of the willing, explore ideas to flesh out the ambition. Experiment or inspire in a small way with your ideas to create something and make an impact. In short, you start a movement in interaction with others. In doing so, you make your impact visible in a creative way.  Ensure that the movement set in motion by the coalition of the willing can continue. Ensure good knowledge sharing, organize follow-up actions, and assign responsibilities to the right partners to create ownership.

LU4: Critical reflection

You identify limitations of your own knowledge and action repertoire and reflect critically on issues and processes in this context with the aim: to recognize and adjust personal development, cooperation, and interaction with others and your share in it. With this, you contribute to knowledge development and dissemination in the field of Broad Prosperity and new entrepreneurship. You justify your actions based on evidence and relevant literature.

Ingangseisen

You hold your propaedeutic degree.

You want to learn from students from other sectors such as health and welfare, economics, engineering and construction, IT, environmental and agricultural, media and communication, culture, arts, economics, tourism, and logistics.
