Masterclass Strategic Marketing

For whom

Are you a Marketing student looking for an intensive minor? Do you want to challenge yourself and your fellow students in an international environment? Our Minor Masterclass Strategic Marketing is for you!

To ensure the quality of the learning environment, a pre-test on marketing is part of the application process. You will study marketing management on an advanced level and focus on topics such as strategic and international marketing, management issues, marketing plans and implementation.

Content

The Masterclass Strategic Marketing minor program is an advanced, specialised program in Strategic Marketing Management. You take theoretical and practical courses in subjects such as Strategic Marketing, Corporate Policy, Scenario Planning & Performance Management and International Marketing. Additionally, you can opt to sit for the NIMA-B (European Marketing Confederation: Marketing Manager) exam.

The backbone of this minor is a real-life marketing case team project for an existing SME company, in conjunction with NIMA, the Dutch Institute for Marketing, which is associated with the European Marketing Confederation.

Courses

The Masterclass Strategic Marketing minor program takes place during one semester and contains the following courses:

Strategic Marketing – an Academic Approach: 5EC Corporate Policy – Scenario Planning and Performance Management: 5EC Management Issues of Internationalisation, Innovation and Research: 5EC Practical Implications – Nuts & Bolts: 5EC International Marketing/Export Plan Portfolio: 10EC

Please note that the program reflects a (logical) bundle of courses/subjects and should normally be followed as such. It is not possible to combine (two or more) programs in one single period.

 

Leerdoelen

The minor MSM focuses on the management of strategic marketing issues, in order to offer you sufficient knowledge, proficiency and skills, and a deeper insight into complex, unstructured strategic marketing issues.

This minor program aims to enhance your ability to convert opportunities into successful commercial activities. During the minor you’ll take the formal NIMA B1 exam and you will be prepared for the formal NIMA B2 examination (equivalent to the certified and accredited European Marketing Confederation Marketing Manager degree).

Leerovereenkomsten kunnen tot en met 5 juli 2019 naar ons worden opgestuurd. Leerovereenkomsten die ná 5 juli 2019 worden ontvangen, zullen niet in behandeling genomen worden.

Leerovereenkomsten worden in volgorde van binnenkomst afgehandeld.

Leerovereenkomsten kunnen tot en met 6 december 2019 naar ons worden opgestuurd. Leerovereenkomsten die ná 6 december 2019 worden ontvangen, zullen niet in behandeling genomen worden.

Leerovereenkomsten worden in volgorde van binnenkomst afgehandeld. 

Ingangseisen

To enter this intensive program, you need a solid foundation of intermediate level course(s) in Marketing Management. You will take a compulsory pre-test in marketing in order to be allowed to participate in the program. Additionally, you are expected to have attained English language skills at CEFR level B2..

Toetsing

Examination of the courses will happen through written exams, presentations, portfolios and reports.

Additionally, you will be assigned various dedicated readers, business school cases and literature during the program.
