Business Processes and Analytics - Management

**Deze minor wordt ook in het Nederlands aangeboden*

Business Processes and Analytics is an interdisciplinary minor which gives you in depth knowledge and tools to analyze, describe and optimize processes within companies with the use of SAP ERP. The focus is on the integration of logistical, financial, IT, marketing and HRM processes and the theoretical knowledge thereof. As students have different educational and cultural backgrounds, this minor offers a challenging environment to learn new skills, methods and practices and expand the knowledge in your own fields of expertise. Learning methods are based on experiential learning, including working in a virtual company and leading a project, workshops, self-study, group assignments, lectures and a company visit.

By following this minor, you will be able to analyze and improve business processes and to make decisions, by using current practice information of companies and your own knowledge. Information is gathered by analyzing existing data in SAP Hana, studying best practices and benchmark processes. Being able to integrate other fields of expertise and thus enable business to run better, faster, and simpler enterprise-wide will be a great asset in your future working environment. This Management variant offers the modules HRM and Project Management. Students will be a project leader of a project in one of the BPS' virtual companies and have an excellent opportunity to practice leadership skills in an international and interdisciplinary environment. Overall, you will gain knowledge of of and hands-on experience with: entrepreneurship, internal business processes, business analytics, process analytics,  data analytics, data visualisation, process mining, external business processes, integration between areas of expertise, enterprise resource planning and/or (depending on your choice of assignments and projects) best practices; the translation of functional expertise into current process-oriented company practice.

See: Module Guide MBPA SAP on http://www.amsterdamuas.com/amsib and www.VNSG.nl for more information on the modules, AMSIB and SAP.
