Composite Design Solutions
Attending this minor, you will be given the opportunity to work together with specialists from the work-field so you will experience how composite products are made and get a realistic insight in what way the techniques are used for production products and how tooling is accomplished.
Professionals will coach you in projects based on personal development and practical skills, so you can evolve your knowledge in engineering and project-management in a realistic work environment.
An introduction day to fully prepare you for your Kies op Maat study at NHL Stenden is scheduled, on which you will get a campus tour, meet teachers and staff and you will learn how to use (ICT) facilities on campus; thus we will expect you to be present that date.
In order to bring the real world close to you we offer businesslike experiences like working together with companies and teams such as Fokker Aerospace, Solar Team Top Dutch and Green Pac.
By aiming at realistic goals in cooperation with the customer we will try to achieve realization of products and processes like
-servo controlled application platform in close working order with robots for Composite Research
-improving composite extrusion welding process by redesigning equipment (3D-printing of metal parts with ceramic heaters and close-loop control)
-building composite frame parts for the Solar Racing Team with Fokker
-redesigning tooling and processes in thermoplastic composites.
