Transition Lab

Spark personal change to ignite disruptive innovation.

 About this minor

  • Climate, energy, sustainability, health care, water, and food ... These challenges in the world call for disruptive change: not being afraid to turn the world upside down and to question your own ideas.
  • In this minor you will work with transition challenges: how can you contribute to these based on your knowledge and skills.
  • You will experiment, learn, and work together in multidisciplinary teams: individually and in a group. By using everyone's own expertise, you can find solutions for complex challenges. Field partners and tutorial team consist of people with different expertise and experience.

Literatuur

These are the learning outcomes for this minor:

·        Learning outcome 1

I analyse challenges from society using knowledge about disruptive change and transitions. I look at these challenges from a societal and organisational perspective and I look at human behaviour, each time focusing on discovering the intent and working of transitions and disruptive change.

·        Learning outcome 2

I design in a multidisciplinary team a solution to disrupt an existing situation that contributes to a transition challenge, based on an applied research approach. I contribute to the design process and outcome in the multidisciplinary team from my own expertise, experiences, and insights. I integrate the knowledge, experiences, and insights of team members into the prototype.

·        Learning outcome 3

From my development with respect to the five dimensions of the inner development goals (IDGs), I demonstrate my ability to contribute to transition challenges. I demonstrate this through personal goals, critical reflection and feedback from peers, coaches, and experts. I present and substantiate my vision with respect to transition challenges and how my professional identity fits with this.
