Biomedical Research: Cancer and Developmental Biology

In the HAN Biomedical Research exchange course biological processes that contribute to cancer play a central role. The research question objectives come from various scientific institutions.

In this course, different model systems (e.g. cultured cells and the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans) are used to study tumor development.

In the framework of the biodiscovery chain, the emphasis of this course lies on the discovery and analysis of molecules and processes that play a role in the development of cancer.

To familiarise the students with the international work field, they will work with two assignments from international clients.
