Mapping Research

With this minor we invite you to re-think your future position as a spatial practitioner. Rather than write dystopian narratives in which we confirm our loss of faith in the future, we need to develop perspectives on what is relevant for future generations. This asks for research that addresses future scenarios. To think beyond the current crises our societies face. To explore, experiment, re-define and vocalise our thinking on what needs to be done now, and how that will benefit future generations.

The connection of theoretical and practice-based research is essential in this minor. It is taught in a cohesive way through different threads in the program. In an interdisciplinary setting you will develop your critical thinking and build a vocabulary of research methods. Critical thinking as key to research-making and how research frameworks can be translated in order to expand your capacities in doing research. To bring questions of urgent relevance and imperative discourse to a clear narrative.
