Are you ready to make your entrepreneurial dream come true? This module focuses on your independence as an entrepreneur. We take you step by step through a radically different way of growing: not towards a quick exit, but towards a strong exist strategy. The goal? A business that is independent and future-proof.

What will you be doing?

You will go through all the building blocks to set up or develop your own business, from idea to integrated business approach. We combine state-of-the-art knowledge from our Centre of Expertise and innovative companies with practical experience from the field.

Part 1: Developing your idea

• Discover your WHY: What drives you as an entrepreneur? What is your purpose?

• Prototyping in action: Use the lean startup method to test your idea in practice as quickly as possible.

• Business models & organizational structures: Learn how to build your business smartly and protect its independence.

•    Pitch training: Practice presenting your idea convincingly.

•    Inspiration from practice: Guest lectures and company visits bring you into contact with experienced entrepreneurs.

•    Intervision & collaboration: Learn from each other in small groups and build a network.

•    Physical lessons at school, supplemented with excursions.

Part 2: From concept to future-proof business

•    Refine & validate: Test and improve your (revised) idea based on feedback and practical experience.

•    Tactical implementation: Choose the right organizational structure, financing, marketing, and operational approach.

•    Practical deep dive: Here, too, you will learn from guest speakers and company visits.

•    Integrated entrepreneurial approach: Work toward a concrete plan that brings your WHY to life.

Part 1:

The student develops and refines a business model that stems from their personal and company’s purpose using the principles of the lean start-up method, which creates value for various stakeholders and supports it with a purpose-protecting organizational structure. In addition, the student is aware of their qualities and areas for development as an entrepreneur and demonstrates how to apply and further develop these within this context.

Part 2:

The student constructs an integrated business or acquisition plan based on the lean startup method, in which the organizational structure, financing, marketing mix, and operational choices are linked to operationalize and protect the purpose. In addition, the student is aware of their qualities and areas for development as an entrepreneur and demonstrates their ability to apply and further develop these within this context.

Both learning outcomes are assessed separately by means of a pitch with supporting documentation, a reflection report in the form of a visual logbook, and active participation.
