Theatre & Practice

This minor stimulates your creativity so you can apply it in your future work. Step out of your comfort zone and dare to play again.

In this minor, you will learn to direct, act and teach theatre and to apply these skills within your own professional field. You will study the history of theatre and shape a monologue. In addition, you will learn how to develop a lesson or training and how to create a theatre production. Throughout the minor, you will also strengthen your imagination and learn to work with different target groups and organizations.

This minor offers a balance between practice and theory. During the lessons, you will gain experience by acting and directing your classmates. You will also follow lectures, write analyses and concepts, and create your own performance. In addition, you are required to attend seven professional evening performances and reflect on each one. During this minor, you will stimulate your creativity, develop your artistic vision and discover all facets of the theatre profession.

This minor is suitable for students with or without theatre experience, and education is tailored where needed. The minor is only offered once a year.
