FULL YEAR MINOR: Newways Training Company, practical experience in (business) events and travel (26/27)
Join us at Newways Training Company in your final year of study. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and start your career by organising field trips, events and seminars in the travel and business events sector.
What is it all about?
As a trainee at Newways Training Company, you will organise field trips, congresses and events such as Industry Days, gaming conferences, portfolio days and placement experience days. This will teach you how to run a business! You will also be responsible for running the Newways Travel Desk and arranging all business trips for employees of Breda University of Applied Sciences.
What‘s in it for me?
Doing so will give you valuable experience and expand your professional network within the leisure and tourism industry, which could be very helpful for your future career. It is a valuable year in which you will work hard on your personal development. What’s more, you will regularly be ‘on the road’, working as an event manager, both in the Netherlands and abroad when necessary.
How about my graduation?
You will graduate with a portfolio. This portfolio will demonstrate the learning outcomes you have achieved in terms of both knowledge and skills, as evidenced by the projects (e.g. events/field trips) you have worked on during your traineeship. If you are a practical student, take this opportunity to graduate with a portfolio instead of a thesis.
Upon completion of this minor, you will be prepared for a challenging role in the leisure and tourism industry, specialising in group and business travel, field trips, and the organisation of events and seminars. You will have gained a lot of hands-on experience that you can apply directly in an organisation.
