Preparatory minor MA Intersectional Gender Studies
In this minor, student will explore the social and cultural underpinnings of gender, diversity and sexuality, and their representation. Starting from an intersectional and interdisciplinary perspective, we discuss how masculinity, femininity, sexuality and ethnicity are being understood and the impact of the different ideas.

This minor teaches students to ask critical questions from an intersectional gender perspective. The minor allows for broad application in social areas, like education and research, media representation, and policy development.
Ingangseisen
Students need to meet the English language requirement before starting the preparatory minor. If you are studying in a fully English-taught HBO Bachelor’s programme, or if you have a VWO high school diploma, you meet the language requirement.
In all other cases, even if your degree is partially in English, the language requirement needs to be met by completing one of the certificates listed here. If you do not yet have a language certificate yet, please click on the link and choose one of tests that are listed on the page. Booking a test is your own responsibility. You can start the application process even if you do not yet have a valid and sufficient language certificate, but your learning agreement will not be processed until you can demonstrate that you have met the language requirement.
