Digital Marketing (BA/COM) (transfer minor/doorstroomminor)
The Master’s in Business Administration and the Master’s in Communication Science offer a double degree programme in the field of Digital Marketing.
As a student of the double degree Digital Marketing you will learn to develop innovative digital marketing strategies and seize emerging technologies and avenues for online promotion. For example, which e-commerce strategies are most effective? How can you make informed decisions using data analytics tools? What tactics can you apply to create ethically and sustainably designed digital content and marketing campaigns?
You will explore the technical and creative aspects of the field. That way, you will build a strong foundation in the ethical and business principles necessary for success in the digital marketing industry.
This double degree is a 1,5 year programme (90 EC) and courses from both Business Administration and Communication Science will be part of your curriculum. You will complete your double degree by writing a joint master’s thesis.

The goal of this transfer minor is to 1) get an impression of the content of the master programme Digital Marketing (BA/COM) to find out if studying at our university suits you 2) to prepare for UT's on the master programme Digital Marketing (BA/COM) by gaining both content and research -knowledge and skills at university level 3) to qualify for the formal requirements for entering our UT Master of Science Business Administration (MScBA) and the Master of Science Communication Science.
Upon successful completion of this 30 EC minor, you have direct and unconditional access to both MSc programmes Business Administratrion (BA) and Communication Science (COM) at the University of Twente.
Ingangseisen
This minor aims to attract students from universities of applied sciences (HBO) and other universities in the Netherlands who have the right motivation and capacities to complete our university level English-taught master degree programme in the field of Digital Marketing (Business Administration (UT’s MSc BA) and Communication Science (UT MSc COM)).
It is important to know that you need to have completed already 120 EC’s from your current bachelor’s program before starting this transfer minor. In order to determine whether your current bachelor program is sufficiently related to Business Administration and Communication Science. Please check: www.doorstroommatrix.nl and check the Digital Marketing webiste.
Next to this requirement regarding your current bachelor programme, for this transfer-minor the same entry-requirements apply as for our general pre-master programme (UT) i.e:
- A (Dutch) HAVO or VWO level diploma including Mathematics A of B of at least level 6.0
- A (Dutch) HAVO or VWO level diploma including English of at least level 6.0
- A separate HAVO level diploma in Mathematics A or B of at least level 6.0 (on our website more information about these specific documents can be found)

Rooster
The pre-master programme is a full-time programme, lectures may be scheduled on any (working) day of the week.
Toetsing
In general the courses of the pre-master programme are assessed with an individual exam and/or (group)assignment(s). Important: You must complete your pre-master program within 1 year, with a maximum of 2 opportunities per exam/test.
The pre-master programme runs twice per year, starting in September or February.

The learning agreement signed by the student and his Examination Board must have reached the UT-contact person before the enrollment ends.
