Sustainable Supply Chain Analytics
The minor Sustainable Supply Chain Analytics dives into the world of quantitative analytics of the supply chain. By learning more about business economics, information technology and logistics one will develop a toolkit of quantitative tools to be able to analyze complex supply chain problems. This is not limited to supply chains only as we teach you Risk Management in light of Business Economics, Data Management, Generative AI-usage and its applications, Management and Engineering of Information Systems but also Supply Chain Design and Planning.
It is aimed at students considering continuing their education with The Master’s “Sustainable Supply Chain Analytics” at Wageningen University & Research (WUR).
It includes the courses: Risk Management in Food Supply Chains (BEC31806) in period 4 (whole day); Data Management (INF21306) in period 5 (Morning); Supply Chain Design and Planning (ORL20806) in period 5 (Afternoon); Generative Artificial Intelligence (INF24306) in period 6 (Morning); and Management and Engineering of Information Systems (INF31306) in period 6 (Afternoon).
Leerdoelen
The learning outcomes of this minor are given by the learning outcomes of the specified courses and may be summarized as follows.
After successful completion of this minor students are expected to be able to:
- Select the appropriate risk management techniques given the sources of risk in food supply chains
- Analyze realistic information system problems in food supply chains and propose a data design solution
- Propose solution for real-life business problem on designing and planning of goods flows in supply chains by applying relevant theories and methodologies
- Display innovative thinking and creativity in leveraging generative AI for creative applications in supply chains
Ingangseisen
Students are expected to have knowledge of linear algebra and calculus, basic understanding of business economics, and should have an interest in solving analytical puzzles.

Textbooks used in the courses are listed in de detailed course descriptions listed above.
In many cases e-book versions of textbooks are available for students, once enrolled, through the Wageningen University Library.
Rooster
Courses in Wageingen are offered throughout the week Monday-Friday.
Period 4 has 6 credits and runs for 4 weeks, with usually 1 course of 6 credits.
Peirod 5 and 6 both have 12 credits, run for 8 weeks and usually have one course in the morning and another in the afternoon.

Toetsing
Each course has it's own set of assessment methods. This is outlined in the course description linked above.
Upon passing all courses of the minor, the minor is successfully completed.
Written tests of courses can be taken twice each academic year. Once when the course is attended, and once in a subsequent resit period.
