Bij deze onderzoeksminor van Zuyd werk je in de moderne labs van CHILL in het hart van Nederlands grootste chemie en materialenterrein Brightlands Chemelot Campus. Er staat altijd een opdracht uit het werkveld centraal met een duurzame component. Je bent dus meteen al maatschappelijk verantwoord bezig.

Je werkt samen met meerdere studenten (young professionals), een ervaren professional als dagelijks begeleider en een coach (een docent/onderzoeker van Zuyd). Dit team noemen we een Community for Development (CfD). Naast de inhoudelijke kennis die je opdoet, vinden wij jouw persoonlijke ontwikkeling erg belangrijk en zorgen we voor persoonlijke begeleiding. Je kan gebruik maken van alle voorzieningen van Brightlands Chemelot Campus, zoals de gratis sportfaciliteit en gratis BOOST trainingen door CHILL. Wanneer je interesse hebt, zullen we je ook helpen zoeken naar een afstudeeropdracht in de regio.

 

3D printing makes it possible to create truly customized products. However, there are still many challenges in the field of material science. If you are interested in tackling these challenges with us, choose this minor! Please be aware this is not a theoretical minor.

In this Zuyd research minor, you will work in the modern labs of CHILL in the heart of The Netherlands' largest chemical and materials site, Brightlands Chemelot Campus. You will work on an assignment from industry with a circular and sustainable component. So you're immediately  involved in socially responsible innovations right away.

You work together with several students, an experienced professional as a daily supervisor and a lecturer/researcher from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. We call this team a Community for Development (CfD). In addition to the knowledge you gain, we find your personal development very important and we provide personal guidance. You can use all the facilities of Brightlands Chemelot Campus, such as the free sports facility and the free BOOST workshops by CHILL. If you are interested, we will also help you look for a graduation assignment in the region.

  • Door gebruik te maken van kennis van anderen en anderen gebruik te laten maken van jouw kennis (bv bij de werkbesprekingen) kan de competentie “leidinggeven, managen” op niveau I aangetoond worden.
  • Door goed om te gaan met bestellen en opslag tijdens het project is er de mogeijkheid om de competentie “beheren/coördineren” op niveau I aan te tonen.

Je programma wordt in overleg met jouw coach en ervaren professional opgesteld. Je bent de meeste tijd op locatie aanwezig.

In de eerste week van de minor vindt een kennismakingsprogramma plaats. In deze week krijg je uitgebreid informatie over de opdracht, CHILL, de campus en leer je de mensen kenen met wie je zal samenwerken.

De onderzoeksopdracht wordt gerealiseerd volgens het Community for Development (CfD) concept. Dus samen werken met studenten, een ervaren professional als dagelijks begeleider en een docent/onderzoeker.

Your program is drawn up in consultation with your coach and experienced professional. You are on location most of the time.

An introductory program takes place in the first week of the minor. During this week you will receive detailed information about the assignment, CHILL, the campus and you will get to know the people with whom you will work.

The research will be done in a Community for Development (CfD). You will work together with other student, an experienced professional for daily guidance and a lecturer/researcher.

You will have:

- CfD meetings

- Meetings with the other students

- Client meetings

- A lot of experimentation

- Posterpresentation including pitch

- Feedback meetings

- Work shops/boosts (optional)

De hele CfD heeft een stem bij de beoordelingen. Een onafhankelijk assessor is de eindverantwoordelijke voor de beoordeling en heeft in die zin dus de zwaarste stem.

Voor alle onderdelen geldt een weging van 25 % en een minimumcijfer 5,5.

 

The entire CfD has a voice in the assessments. An independent assessor is ultimately responsible for the assessment and in that sense has the ultimate responsibility.
